Each dog represents about an $800 monthly cost for boarding, training, and evaluation. Veterinary needs and care are on top of this expense and we don't know everything they will need at this time. The costs for 6 month boarding and vet care will be nearly $40,000 for this group of dogs. We need to generate $953 per day in donations for these dogs. We are low on funds and need your help to achieve this goal and keep them thriving! Without your help, we will not be able to provide all the care they deserve. We also have kennel staff to pay to take care of these dogs.
Some waited three years to catch their freedom flight and now that they are home, we want to make sure they are ready for a lifetime of love. That starts with veterinary visits to get plans for their care and a thorough evaluation of everything that makes them tick. We check their drive, behavior, and potential quirks that might cause aggression. We test them with other dogs and cats too!
We love these dogs. They are special. They faced a harrowing ordeal at the chaotic Kabul airport during the American withdrawal, abandoned amidst the turmoil and subsequently seized by the Taliban.
Through the love of a local rescue, KSAR, they came once again after they were no longer able to work. We are glad they were not killed and now have a chance at some joy before the end of their lives. You can provide a key to that joy!
