Urgent Needs

Right now, 25 retired working dogs who served overseas are waiting in Kuwait to come home to the United States.

Kuwait airspace is closed and dogs are safely sheltered in place. Once they resume operations, we will have difficulties scheduling dogs to fly with escorts and for now these dogs will have to fly as Air Cargo at an estimated $3,000 per dog expense. We hope this changes, but this group needs to come home now, not later.

We want you to know that we're working as hard as we can to get them home as fast as we can, and your help to do it means they will come home faster. Mission K9 Rescue has already paid nearly $11,000 for their required rabies titer tests and $43,000 for the dogs that have already come home from this group.

In addition to these critical transports, we also need help covering the salaries of our kennel staff and ongoing care for dogs already rescued. Every dollar keeps tails wagging and transports moving. Please don’t wait. Their time is running out. Donate today and be part of their journey home.

See an urgent case your gift helps today.

We provide all the veterinary needs for the working dogs in our care. It's a minimum of a $20,000 per month expense. Your donations help keep with those costs!

Help Retired Working Dogs

Over the past week, many of you have donated, shared, prayed, encouraged us, and helped bring attention to the retired working dogs we serve. We are deeply grateful. Every gift has helped, and every act of support matters.

At the same time, our short-term funding need is still real.

We are doing everything we can to avoid cuts that would affect our ability to care for retired working dogs and support the team that makes this mission possible.

When support slows down, the work slows down.

Your donation does more than buy food or pay a vet bill. It helps keep rescues moving, transports coordinated, medical care scheduled, and trained people in place so we can continue saying yes when a retired working dog needs help.

These dogs searched for explosives, protected troops, guarded bases, and served in dangerous places until age, injury, or health said they were done.

When that day comes, they need someone ready to help.

Mission K9 Rescue has rescued over 1,350 working dogs, reunited over 750 with their former handlers, and spent over $2.5 million on veterinary care.

We are proud of that work, but right now, we need continued support to keep it going.

Mission K9 Rescue is a United States nonprofit based in Magnolia, Texas. For over 13 years, we have rescued working dogs and reunited them with handlers around the world.

Thank you so much for giving.

Kristen Maurer, Founder/President, along with the entire MK9 Team
