Help Bring Retired Working Dogs Home

Military and contractor working dogs can spend years detecting explosives, guarding bases, and protecting people in dangerous places.

When their work ends, retirement does not automatically include transportation home.

Retired working dogs are still waiting in Kuwait. Mission K9 Rescue has begun bringing them home through Saudi Arabia, and the first dogs have already arrived. More are being scheduled as we work through the transportation, veterinary, and government requirements.

The dogs are safe while they wait. We are not going to tell you otherwise to manufacture urgency.

The problem is that getting them home is complicated and expensive. Some may have to travel as air cargo at an estimated cost of approximately $3,000 per dog.

Mission K9 Rescue has already spent nearly $11,000 on required rabies titer testing and approximately $43,000 bringing dogs home from this group.

Your donation helps cover transportation, veterinary testing, food, kennels, trained caregivers, and medical treatment for dogs already in our care.

These dogs completed their service. We are working to make sure they reach the safe retirement they earned.

What Your Donation Pays For

Mission K9 Rescue provides the veterinary care required by the working dogs in our care. Those expenses alone average at least $20,000 each month.

Donations also help pay for international and domestic transportation, required medical testing, kennels, food, trained caregivers, rehabilitation, reunions with former handlers, and safe placement when a reunion is not possible.
